Sensory-Friendly Adaptation of Disney’s Winnie-the-Pooh
The Mercury Theatre is inviting families to see a musical stage adaptation of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh. The performance is Sensory Friendly, designed to be suitable for those with autism, sensory processing disorder and other developmental diagnoses.
The event is on May 27th at 7 p.m. at The Mercury Theatre Chicago, located 3745 N. Southport Avenue.
In this spectacular production filled with Sherman Brothers’ classic Grammy Award-winning music, this musical is told with stunning life-sized puppetry of the characters we all know and love.
The modified presentation, designed in partnership with Chicago Autism Network, will include:
Reduced noise levels
Additional house lighting
Designated spaces with minimal stimuli
Visitors are welcome to bring noise-canceling earmuffs.
